Renan Santos is a Brazilian self-taught visual artist known for his intricate drawings, metal engravings, and oil paintings. Originally studying architecture, he shifted his focus entirely to the visual arts, developing a unique style influenced by 19th-century illustrators such as Gustave Doré and J.J. Grandville. His work blends classical techniques with contemporary themes, often exploring surreal narratives, dreamlike atmospheres, and detailed storytelling. Renan has created illustrations for books, large-scale murals, and textile prints, with his art exhibited internationally in galleries across Tokyo, Portland, and Paris.
