Alice Mollon is a French-born, UK-raised illustrator and animator whose work is defined by its bright, bold, and conceptually sharp visual language. With a signature style that combines strong ideas with a lively, characterful touch, she crafts illustrations that feel like visual punchlines — immediate, clear, and often with a playful twist. Now based between Lisbon, the South of France, and London, Mollon brings a global perspective to her work, drawing inspiration from her observations of people and the world around her.
Mollon's creative journey began early, fueled by a childhood spent drawing, painting, and filling sketchbooks with stories. She went on to study Fine Art at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2014. After university, she took a role in marketing and customer experience at a tech startup, where she began incorporating illustrations into the company's materials. When the startup closed two years later, she had already taken on a few freelance projects on the side and decided to pursue illustration full-time. Her early clients came through word of mouth and social media, and as her portfolio grew, she transitioned into editorial, publishing, and advertising work.
Mollon's illustrations are concept-led and single-minded. She believes in the power of illustration to succinctly communicate ideas, making niche or complex topics more accessible, or bringing a playful twist to everyday themes. She works across a wide range of projects, from digital products to editorial, publishing, and animation. Her client list includes prestigious names such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TED, Apple, Vogue, Universal Music, and Hachette — a testament to her ability to translate any topic into a dazzling visual narrative.
Mollon's work has also been recognized by the industry. She has been longlisted for the 3x3 International Illustration Annual and has received a Merit award from the same competition. She is represented by several agencies.
