ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

We are ITSFFFRESH!
Fresh perspectives. Bold editions. Original art reimagined.

Founded by Julia da Costa (FR) and Vital Lordelo (BR), ITSFFFRESH is a Lisbon-based art project dedicated to print culture in all its forms — from silkscreen and risography to artist books and zines. After creating the JOIA Project (2019–2023), Julia and Vital are now exploring a new chapter focused on printmaking, plurality, and collaboration.

WHAT WE DO

ITSFFFRESH is a kiosk, a publisher, and a pop-up space — always fresh, always bold.

As a kiosk, we curate a rotating selection of posters, risographs, screen prints, zines, and artist books. Each piece is handpicked for its originality and visual energy — a mix of independent editions and unique works from emerging and established artists.

As a publisher, we produce limited-run risograph posters in collaboration with international artists. Each project is an experiment in color, texture, and process — celebrating the imperfections and tactile beauty of printmaking.

As a pop-up space, we take over Black Sheep, a natural wine bar located in Lisbon, transforming it into a living exhibition. Drop by for a glass, browse the latest editions, and experience art in a relaxed, open atmosphere.

You can pick up your piece in person or have it shipped — always safely packaged using recycled paper and paperboard. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, reach out on Instagram @itsfffresh to see more work or arrange a private viewing.

WHAT IS RISOGRAPHY

Risography, or riso, is a printing technique invented in Japan in the 1940s. It works like a digital form of stencil printing, layering pure, vibrant colors one by one — much like screen printing, but with its own unique rhythm and texture.

Each layer of ink is printed separately, resulting in beautiful misalignments, rich tones, and unexpected overlaps that make every print slightly different — each one perfectly imperfect.

The process is also eco-conscious: riso prints cold (using very little energy), on uncoated, natural paper, with vegetable oil–based inks and no solvents. It’s a process that combines craft, sustainability, and surprise — one print at a time.

THE ARTISTS

ITSFFFRESH represents and collaborates with artists from Portugal, Brazil, France, Spain, England, and Belgium — a network of voices connected through color, ink, and experimentation.
