IT'S FFFRESH

IT'S FFFRESH is an independent art publisher, kiosk and pop-up gallery based in Lisbon, Portugal.

We work with independent artists, illustrators and visual creatives to publish risograph prints, screen prints, posters, zines, artist books and small-edition artworks — shipped internationally.

IT'S FFFRESH started from a phrase we heard over and over. Whenever a collector or visitor discovered a piece that surprised them, they'd say it naturally: "It's fresh." That spontaneous reaction became the name of the project.

The name also carries a second meaning — It's Few Figure Fresh — a direct reference to the small-edition print runs we publish, where every publication keeps its authorial, collectible character.

That phrase still defines who we are today, because we believe it's the public who brings these works to life, builds collections, and decides the future of the artists they choose to follow.

Publisher

We publish artists.

Just as a publishing house publishes writers, or a record label releases musicians, IT'S FFFRESH publishes visual artists.

We work directly with artists and illustrators to develop pieces made specifically for print. We select artists through our curation, support the development of their projects, invest in production, fund the printing, and release collections under the IT'S FFFRESH label.

We publish different forms of printed art, including risograph prints, screen prints, posters, zines, artist books and small-batch editions.

Some publications become limited editions, signed and numbered. Others exist as open editions or in different colour variants, always developed together with the artist.

Publishing isn't just printing. It's supporting a creative process, investing in production, and building an edition that makes sense both for the artist and for the person who will live with it.

We work with partners specialised in risograph printing and screen printing, choosing papers, formats, colours and printing techniques according to each project.

After publication, the artist earns royalties on every piece sold. Every purchase helps fund new publications and allows the publisher to keep investing in independent artists.

Kiosk

Our kiosk is a space for discovery.

Alongside publications edited by IT'S FFFRESH, we bring together books, zines, prints, editorial objects and works by artists, illustrators and publishers we admire.

Not everything you find in the kiosk was published by us. But everything has been carefully selected through our curation.

The kiosk is a physical extension of what we do online: a place to discover artists, independent printing, publications and objects worth seeing, flipping through and taking home.

Pop-up Gallery

Our pop-up gallery brings this world into physical space.

We present IT'S FFFRESH publications alongside works, editions and projects by other artists and publishers who are part of our ongoing research and curation.

More than an exhibition, it's a space for encounter, discovery and dialogue between different practices in printed art.

It's also a way of bringing artists and the public closer together, creating moments where work can be discovered outside the usual context of a gallery or an online shop.

Not every piece we show is published by us. But every piece available in the IT'S FFFRESH online catalogue belongs to our editorial selection.

Each publication goes through a process of curation, development, production and distribution. When you see the IT'S FFFRESH label, you know you're looking at a piece published by us.

We work with emerging and established artists, from Portugal and beyond, spanning illustration, graphic art, photography, typography and other forms of visual creation.

Printed art from Lisbon, for everywhere

IT'S FFFRESH was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and remains deeply connected to its independent creative scene.

The city is the context the project grew from, but it isn't a limit. We publish artists from Portugal and other countries, and ship our editions internationally. Most prints are priced between €15 and €100, so you can buy one because you like it — not because you've decided to become a collector. That first print might later become the start of a collection.

Our goal is to make printed art more accessible, more collectible, and more present in everyday life.

We believe artwork doesn't need to live behind a gallery door. It can be a risograph print on a wall, a poster on a desk, a zine on a shelf, or a small edition someone chose to keep. That's the kind of relationship with art we want to help build.

Why every purchase matters

We believe artists should spend their time creating. So we take on what they'd otherwise have to do alone: production, printing, launch and distribution.

We invest in the making of each edition and work together with artists to turn an idea into a physical publication.

From there, the story is no longer just ours. It belongs to the public. The people who choose to live with these works make it possible to keep a collection going, develop new projects, and publish new artists.
