The Technique

Riso printing is a stencil-based technique that blends the charm of screen printing with the precision of modern duplicators. Each layer of color is printed separately, creating rich textures and unique variations that make every print one of a kind. Please note that riso printing implies organic textures which makes every print unique. 

The Artist

Maria Giovanna Mura is an Italian illustrator based in Lisbon. Her studies revolved around architecture, illustration and theater, disciplines that always intersect in her creative work. She is influenced by memories and everyday life, especially those full of surprises and misunderstandings. Her illustrations are characterized by humor and lightness, always seeking a dialogue with the viewer.
