Júlia Cunha (Braga, 1996) is an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. Her artistic practice gravitates passionately around politics, mental health, and queer identity, always infused with humor.
She starts from the observation of everyday life to deconstruct images and textures, which she transforms into new forms and concepts. She began with drawing and painting, and over the years has moved through ceramics, textiles, and, more recently, writing.
Her work has been published in Gerador and Egoísta magazines, and pieces are for sale at MUZEU – Thought and Contemporary Art dst (Braga), Officina Noctua (Amarante), and IT’SFFFRESH. She has a healthy obsession with collecting kitsch objects and more books than she can read, and she is fascinated by Minho culture.
